Town of Colfax begins limb pickup, reminds residents of placement guidelines

The Town of Colfax has announced that limb pickup services are underway and is reminding residents to follow proper placement guidelines to ensure debris can be collected safely and efficiently.

According to Mayor Timika Hamilton-Price, residents should place limbs along the side of the street near their homes, making sure the debris is visible and easily accessible to collection crews.

Town officials emphasized that limbs must be positioned where workers can safely reach them without entering private property.

Residents are asked to keep limbs out of travel lanes and avoid placing debris in locations that could interfere with traffic, pedestrian access or emergency services.

Limbs should not block sidewalks, fire hydrants, drainage ditches, driveways or roadways.

The town also cautioned that improperly placed limbs may not be collected.

The guidelines are intended to help collection crews work efficiently while maintaining safe conditions for motorists, pedestrians and town employees.

Mayor Hamilton-Price thanked residents for their cooperation and encouraged everyone to follow the placement requirements as limb pickup continues throughout Colfax.

Residents are encouraged to check their debris placement before collection crews arrive to help prevent delays or missed pickups.
