The Grant Parish School Board has approved a one-time 4% supplemental payment for all full-time district employees, to be issued at the end of October to staff employed on the date of the board’s approval.
Superintendent Erin Stokes said the increase was made possible through “tough budgetary decisions” and was intended to show appreciation for employees’ work. She also reminded staff that state-funded stipends, $2,000 for full-time certificated employees and $1,000 for full-time support employees, will be distributed in November.
Stokes said the district remains committed to operating “a great school system within the confines of our budget” while prioritizing its workforce.
