Returning Graduates Join Grant Parish Schools as Teachers

Grant Parish Public Schools welcomed its newest educators during New Teacher Inservice as preparations continue for the 2026-2027 school year.

The inservice provided new teachers with an opportunity to learn about the district, connect with colleagues, and explore classroom expectations and instructional practices as they prepare to welcome students.

According to the Grant Parish School Board, this year’s group includes several familiar faces—Grant Parish graduates who once attended the district’s schools, completed their student teaching in Grant Parish, and are now returning as full-time teachers.

District officials said these returning educators reflect the school system’s commitment to investing in students and supporting them as they pursue their goals before returning to serve their community.

“Moments like these remind us why we do what we do,” the district said. “At Grant Parish Public Schools, we don’t just educate students—we invest in them, encourage them to dream big, and sometimes have the privilege of welcoming them back as educators. There is something truly special about growing our own!”

The district also welcomed all new teachers to the Grant Parish Public Schools family and expressed its excitement for the impact they will have on students during the upcoming school year.
