Three Grant Parish educators spent part of their summer strengthening their instructional skills by attending the Early Numeracy Institute, a four-day professional learning experience focused on supporting young learners.

Clara Parker, Jenna Stanley, and Laura Ray participated in the institute, investing time in new learning designed to make a difference for the district’s youngest students.

The training was led by The Center for Literacy & Learning and was made possible through The Rapides Foundation’s School Readiness Initiative.’Grant Parish School Board recognized the partnership between the two organizations, noting that the initiative helps strengthen classrooms across Central Louisiana by providing educators with access to high-quality, research-based professional learning.

The district also commended Parker, Stanley, and Ray for their commitment to excellence and their dedication to giving every child the strongest possible start.

School officials thanked the educators for choosing to spend part of their summer preparing for the upcoming school year and expressed confidence that the knowledge and skills gained during the institute will benefit students in their classrooms.
