Hot temperatures, slight rain chances expected in Grant Parish through weekend

GRANT PARISH, La. — Hot conditions will continue across Grant Parish through the weekend, with afternoon temperatures remaining in the upper 90s and slight chances for showers and thunderstorms developing later in the week, according to the National Weather Service.

Wednesday will be sunny and hot with a high near 98 degrees. Southwest winds will be around 5 mph. Wednesday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 76.

Thursday will remain sunny and hot with a high near 98 degrees. A 20% chance of showers is expected Thursday night before 1 a.m., with partly cloudy skies and a low around 75.

Friday will bring a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Despite the rain chance, conditions will be sunny and hot with a high near 97. Friday night will be partly cloudy with a 20% chance of showers before 1 a.m. and a low around 74.

Saturday will have a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Otherwise, skies will be sunny with a high near 96 degrees.

Saturday night will be mostly clear with a low around 73.

Sunday will be sunny and hot with a high near 97 degrees.
