Grant High FFA officers return inspired after leadership camp

DRY PRONG, La. — Grant High School’s Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter is celebrating a successful week of leadership development after its student officers attended the Area 1 & 2 FFA Leadership Camp, where they sharpened their leadership skills and built lasting connections with fellow FFA members from across North Louisiana.

Throughout the week, the Grant FFA officers participated in a variety of leadership sessions, team-building activities, and hands-on workshops designed to prepare them for the responsibilities of leading their chapter during the 2026-2027 school year.

In addition to developing their leadership abilities, students had the opportunity to network and form friendships with FFA members representing schools from throughout the northern half of the state, strengthening the sense of community that is central to the FFA organization.

Grant High FFA praised its officers for the way they represented the chapter throughout the camp.

“We are so proud of the way our officers represented Grant FFA—with enthusiasm, professionalism, and a positive attitude,” the chapter shared.

The experience is expected to equip the officers with new ideas and valuable skills that they can bring back to benefit Grant High’s FFA members throughout the upcoming school year.

As preparations continue for the start of classes, Grant High FFA leaders say they are excited to put what they learned into action and help make the 2026-2027 school year a successful one for the chapter.

With renewed energy and a commitment to serving their fellow members, Grant High FFA officers are looking forward to leading activities, promoting agricultural education, and continuing the chapter’s tradition of excellence in the year ahead.
