
Early voting for the upcoming May 16 election is now underway across Louisiana, including in Grant Parish, according to the Louisiana Secretary of State’s Office.
Election officials announced that early voting began May 2 and will continue through May 9, giving voters an opportunity to cast ballots ahead of Election Day.
Polls for early voting are open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with the exception of Sunday, when voting locations will be closed.
State officials are encouraging voters to review their ballot information and confirm their designated early voting site before heading to the polls.
Voters can access their sample ballot, polling information, and other election details by visiting GeauxVote.com.
The Secretary of State’s Office is reminding residents to make a plan to vote and take advantage of early voting options if they are unable to vote on Election Day.
