Acadian Ambulance has launched a new initiative to help Grant Parish residents who don’t have visible house numbers on their mailboxes. Applications are open now via Google Form for Grant Parish residents to apply for a free set of house numbers. Numbers are provided “first come first serve” and is limited to the first 25 residents who apply.
Grant Parish residents interested in applying should complete the form at: https://tinyurl.com/Numbers-for-Neighbors
House numbers help first responders find you quickly in the event of an emergency. If a home’s numbers are missing, obscured or hard to read — especially at night — it can be harder for fire, police or EMS to find where they need to go.
Acadian Ambulance encourages residents everywhere to:
Make sure your home’s number is clearly marked on the mailbox or in a visible location on the front of the house.
Check to make sure the numbers can be read from the street.
Consider reflective numbers or add a light so the numbers are visible at night.
Acadian’s National EMS Academy offers EMT training at its campuses across Louisiana, Texas, and Tennessee. For more information on upcoming classes, visit http://www.BecomeAMedic.com.
