Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office arrests Dry Prong Man on drug and firearm charges

An investigation conducted by the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office has resulted in the arrest of a Dry Prong man accused of drug-related offenses involving a significant amount of methamphetamine.

According to authorities, deputies arrested Hubert McDaniel Jr., 47, of Dry Prong, after discovering approximately $3,000 worth of methamphetamine during the investigation. Officials say McDaniel was taken into custody without incident.

McDaniel has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office stated that efforts to combat illegal drug activity remain a top priority in the parish and continue to focus on keeping communities safe.

The investigation remains ongoing. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
