Read to Soar Literacy Program Coming to Montgomery Branch

Families in Grant Parish are invited to take part in the Read to Soar literacy program at the Grant Parish Library’s Montgomery Branch. The free, eight-session workshop is designed for children ages birth to 5 and their caregivers.

Sessions will be held on Thursdays from September 18 through November 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Montgomery Branch, located at 940 Caddo Street. Literacy specialist Kimberly Roberts will lead the program, which helps parents and caregivers build strong early literacy skills in their children.

Participants will receive 40 free books to add to their home libraries. Each week, families will take home an assortment of books to encourage reading together outside of class.

The Read to Soar program is coordinated by The Orchard Foundation and funded by The Rapides Foundation.

Spots remain available, and registration can be completed online or in person at the Montgomery Branch. To register, visit https://forms.office.com/r/MYCmuUQ1qB.
