Montgomery High School has welcomed Terrie Taylor as its new principal, bringing more than 20 years of experience in education to the role.
Taylor, who will lead grades 6–12, has served in a variety of positions throughout her career, including classroom teacher, literacy specialist, assistant principal and literacy mentor. She credits her own junior high English teacher with sparking her passion for education by showing her that learning could be both engaging and transformative.
“I expect that the students, faculty, staff and parents will rise to the challenge and work collaboratively to positively impact student success,” Taylor said of her vision for the school.
Her guiding motto, she added, is one that shapes both her personal and professional life: “May I never forget on my best day, that I still need God as desperately as I did on my worst.”
