Kacy Mendenhall of the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office has been recognized with a Community Hero’s Award for her work with children through the Families in Need of Services program.

The program, operated in partnership with the Louisiana Supreme Court, Grant Parish Judge Willett and the Sheriff’s Office, connects children and their families with needed services and support. Officials said Mendenhall’s leadership has been instrumental in strengthening the program’s impact across the parish.

The award highlights her ongoing commitment to youth and families in Grant Parish and her role in helping ensure that children receive the resources necessary for success.
