Grant Parish 4-H members shine at State Livestock Show

Members of the Grant Parish 4-H Livestock Team recently traveled to Gonzales to compete in the State Livestock Show, proudly representing Grant Parish while showcasing their hard work and dedication to agricultural excellence.

Participants exhibited their animals alongside youth from across Louisiana, demonstrating months of preparation, responsibility, and commitment to livestock care and showmanship. The event provides young exhibitors an opportunity to develop leadership skills, sportsmanship, and agricultural knowledge through competition.

Among the team’s accomplishments, Grant Parish 4-H member Blake W earned Reserve Champion honors in Senior Showmanship, a significant achievement recognizing outstanding skill in presenting and handling livestock in the show ring.

Local 4-H leaders praised the students for their effort and positive representation of Grant Parish throughout the statewide event, noting the importance of youth agricultural programs in building confidence and life skills.

Officials congratulated all participating members for their achievements and for serving as strong ambassadors for Grant Parish 4-H and the local agricultural community.
