The Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office has announced the winners of its Youth Deer Hunting Contest, recognizing two young hunters for their successful participation in the event.

Lindsi Morgan and Jayson Gates were named the contest winners, with each earning recognition for their deer harvests.

Morgan harvested an impressive eight-point buck, while Gates harvested a doe weighing 116 pounds.

The youth hunting contest provided an opportunity to recognize young hunters and encourage participation in Louisiana’s hunting traditions.

The Sheriff’s Office congratulated both winners on their accomplishments and expressed appreciation to those who helped make the event possible.

Special thanks were extended to Tony Gauthier and Grant Parish Delta Waterfowl for sponsoring the contest and supporting the participating young hunters.

The event highlighted the community’s continued support for youth involvement in outdoor recreation and hunting activities throughout Grant Parish.
