The victory followed Montgomery’s 44-12 win over Lakeview on October 9, giving the Tigers consecutive victories and continued momentum heading into the final weeks of the regular season.
Montgomery has demonstrated its ability to generate points offensively in recent weeks, scoring a combined 108 points over its last two contests.
Friday’s victory provided another boost for the Tigers as they continue their push through the 2026 football season.
Grant Falls to Jena, 52-12
The Grant Cougars faced a difficult challenge Friday night, falling 52-12 to the Jena Giants in a home matchup.
Grant entered the contest following an explosive 73-41 victory over Buckeye on October 9, but the Cougars were unable to maintain that offensive production against Jena.

Grant will look to regain the offensive momentum displayed in its victory over Buckeye while improving defensively against another district opponent.
Looking Ahead to Week Eight

Montgomery will attempt to extend its winning streak following consecutive victories over Lakeview and Ringgold.
Grant, meanwhile, will seek its third victory of the season when the Cougars host Marksville on October 23.
With postseason competition approaching, the remaining regular-season games will provide opportunities for both teams to strengthen their performances and finish the season with momentum
